On October 6, the final 2016-2019 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS) was released. The CBFA was featured as a “Partner Taking Action” The CBFA’s goals are remarkably aligned with the goals and targets in the strategy. Enhancing protected areas, healthy wildlife populations, sustainably managed forests, taking action on climate change, along with supporting clean technology, innovation and prosperity are all areas featured in the FSDS and where the CBFA is actively engaged in working collaboratively with all stakeholders. It is heartening to see that we are aligned on the key importance of collaboration, which is a recurring theme throughout the FSDS. We have proven that collaboration and working together is an effective approach to meet a range of sustainability and prosperity goals.
